Frequently Asked Questions

What type of music do you sing? We sing a wide selection of Classical, Sacred, Modern and Folk Music, etc.
Where & when do you rehearse? In the Richard Greenhow Centre, Gretna on Thursday evenings from 7.20 to 9.30.
How long is your season? From the last Thursday in August to the end of April when we have our Annual Concert. On average we give 6 performances each season.
Do I need an audition? You will have a short private meeting with our conductor to assess your voice. Ability to read music is an advantage but not absolutely necessary.
What is the subscription? The fees are £45 per year which covers most expenses including music.
What do you wear?

The men wear black trousers, white shirts and the choir tie.

The ladies wear the chior blouse (you pay the subsidised price of £20) and a long black skirt. Red pleated scarves are provided.
